Idea for Photos

I'd like to see the ability to add a comment, place and date to a photo.

I can see from the source code it attempts to read the photo metadata, is this editable in the Family Show program itself? Could this metadata also include place taken and date?

I've requested tagging in the past. Face recognition would be a nice future enhancement. :-)

Yep, Family.Show reads the Title and Tags meta data from image files which support meta data (*.jpg and *.jpeg).  Not possible at the moment to edit in Family.Show, but I agree this would be useful feature.  I'm not sure of the exact code required but it's definately posssible to do that.  At the minute, the work around is to ensure all meta data is input before adding the file to your file.

The metadata has many properties which can be accessed.  If you right click a photo in Windows Explorer and click "Properties", and then the "Details" tab many (but not all) of the properties which you can see there can be accessed for display in the app.

Hope that helps.
