Ergonomy is not intuitive, some events are annoying : - screen moves by itself to center but with too much delay - mouse wheel zooming is not under mouse pointer - don't know how to "walk back" / "up" the tree - don't know how to view the entire tree - can't collapse right part (details) - don't know how to select a person without updating visible tree

Very easy to use an intuitive. Perfect for my daughter to use to build out the family tree. Only wish there was still active development as this shows a lot of promise.

Awesome. Agree with recommended enhancements like web interface (read-only). My personal need is for multiple "a.k.a". I am working on a project that tries to document genealogy way way back to a few thousand years BC. Most of the characters (people) referred to in literatures dating back to those day have alias names due to multiple translations in different languages. When can we have that?

The only beautifull web 2.0 compatible project.

Excellent interface - the best family tree software there is - just solve the problem of crashing when some pictures added, package so it can be posted on a regular webpage and you have an out-and-out winner - If the alterations were made that I suggest, I would easily pay for this!!! Way beats any other genealogy software

this is a awesom job! We're expecting a web collobration packet to share/match with other families ;)

Crashes very early in both XP and Windows 7. I really can't say much more because it did not run long enough to judge. I would personally be embarassed to put such code on the internet for people to see.

Excellent job!

Don't let the bad bugs bite you... It's a undergoing project with no obligation at all. If there is someone not happy with the result, a few tiping would help to transform it to a great piece of work. I'me not happy with it... yet...

Riddled with bugs; crashes frequently; grinds to a halt with a few 1000 people; doesn't do .... anything really - except look pretty. Totally unusable as a genealogy tool.

It’s incredible! See I’ve appreciated a lot and I’m trying to develop something similar. It’s open source at

This is the best look and feel WPF app. I've seen so far! And it even give Hands-on lab!

WOW! This was simple to install..Easy to enter members and even easier to import 6 generations from Family Tree Maker using the GEDCOM format! Still a bug or two but what software doesn;t. I can;t wait to expand on it!

I was looking to develop my own WPF app for an easy-to-use geneology app w/photos when I stumbled on this. Very intuitive, love the UI. Great work! I'd like to expand it to work with group photos so, for example, if you had a family reunion photo, you could click on a face and see the details of the selected person.

I love this v3.0 release as it saves me time from previous version for connecting family members manually... thanks for all the hard work people.
