Photos & Stories lost

In version 3 of familyshow I am experiencing a problem with Photos & Stories loss.
 
Take this scenario:
 
  1. After a first time install of the program, you create a family tree and add some pictures and stories to people.
  2. You save and close the family tree.
  3. You then reopen the family tree and browse to a person you previously added data for and select Photos & Stories
     
    Problem:
     
    No text is displayed in the story panel.
    Any added photos are not displaying.
     
    I can reporduce this on 2 different machines running Vista(Home Premium x86, Ultimate x86).
     
    Additionally, if you try to edit the data to replace some that was removed and then save, the application hangs with the message "family show has stopped responding"
     
    I'm not an expert at coding, so help with this would be much appreciated.

I'm also having this problem with photographs. I'll add a photo, save, exit, and reopen and the photo will be gone.

This is definately a problem with version 3. See Issue id# 7359 for a possible workaround that I had made.
